APPLICATION GUIDELINES
1. Application process
1- FILL OUT THE ONLINE APPLICATION FORM
- RECORDING: Applicants must add a recent recording by a Link (YouTube, Sendspace, dropbox etc.) which should be provided in the application form or may also be sent by email.
2- SEND BY EMAIL TO: info@barcelonapianoacademy.com
- BIOGRAPHY AND PICTURE: Applicants are asked to send a recent artist biography and picture.
- PASSPORT or ID CARD
3- PAYMENT OF THE APPLICATION FEE: €150 / €100 (Spanish students)
* After the steps 1 and 2, you will receive an email confirmation with instructions on how to pay your application fee. If you do not receive a confirmation email, please check your SPAM folder first before contacting us.
2. Application Deadline
- Application is due by June 1st 2020.
- Late applicants must be approved by the Admissions Office and there will be an additional €75 late fee.
3. Fees
- APPLICATION FEE: An application fee of €150 / (€110 for Spanish Students) payable by Bank Wire Transfer, Cashier’s Check, or PayPal is required to process your application. This fee is refundable only to non-admitted applicants.
- LESSON FEES: Admitted applicants will receive an email with the confirmation and details about the assigned lessons and payment instructions.

Any package of classes includes the 3 workshops: Music Analysis I, Music Analysis II and Experiential Introduction to Alexander Technique, tickets for all BPA concerts and and practice rooms with a babygrand piano.

* Should the students wish to choose a combination of teachers different of those that are being offered, or if they wish to have more than one lesson with the same teacher, they have to email the organization giving the reasons for their request. It will be considered by the selection commitee.
** We cannot guarantee that every particular arrangement will be possible. The results of the selection commitee with the teachers assignment for every student will be communicated with enough time in advance for the students make their final decision.

The course will consist of 8 hours of classes daily. Four hours in the morning and four in the afternoon.

- CERTIFICATE OF THE "DEPARTAMENT D'ENSENYAMENT DE LA GENERALITAT DE CATALUÑA": all the full course participants will receive an official certificate of attendance, aknowledged by the Catalan regional government as a Curso de Formación al Profesorado (Teacher Training Course). The student must attend at least eighty percent (80%) of classes during the course to get the certificate.
- VII BPA Piano International Piano Award 2020: The students selected to participate in the full course of 5 or more lessons automatically become candidates for the VIII BPA Piano International Piano Award 2020.
- BPA Spanish Music Special Mention: Students who include in their repertory at least one work by a Spanish composer will be candidates for BPA Special Mention for the Best Interpreter of Spanish Music.
- BPA WELCOME GIFT AND BPA FOLDER: all participants will receive a welcome gift and the folder with the schedule and detailed information.
- BPA TICKET: all participants will receive a BPA pass, which allows the free access to all BPA concerts, masterclasses, conference and events.
- ACCESS TO THE NATIONAL LIBRARY OF CATALONIA: all listener students will have free access to the library where many important musical manuscripts and the Granados's own piano Pleye are preserved.
- TEACHERS REPORT: all participants will receive a class repport by the teachers.
- REHEARSAL ROOMS AVAILABLE: all participants will have rooms available to practice with one or two grand pianos Yamaha and/or Steinway at Liceu Conservatory (c/ Nou de la Rambla 88 - 08001 -Barcelona).
- BPA CERTIFICATE: a Certificate as active student will be issued at the end of the BPA week with the names of teacher/s that the student has been assigned.
- GENERALITAT CERTIFICATE: a certificate aknowledged by the Catalan government as a Curso de Formación al Profesorado (Teacher Training Course). The student must attend at least eighty percent (80%) of classes during the course to get the certificate.
- CONCERT PERFORMANCE: Participants will have at least one performance opportunity.

- FULL COURSE FEE (90 hours of lessons + workshop Alexander technique and workshops by the composer Dr. Víctor Estapé and by the pianist Dr. Deirdre O'Donohue + 4 concerts pass): €195
- BPA WELCOME GIFT AND BPA FOLDER: Listener students will receive a welcome gift and the folder with the schedule and detailed information.
- BPA TICKETS: all listener students will receive a BPA pass, which allows the free access to all concerts, masterclasses, workshops and events.
